The Change the Race Ratio ED&I Leaders Forum provides an opportunity for ED&I Practitioners within signatories to come together in a safe space environment to; connect, learn and share good practice, in pursuit of achieving race equity in senior leadership.

Join fellow ED&I professionals across our members and hear from our speakers Rachel Sadka, Director, EY, Garry Senff, Group Talent Director, FirstGroup, and Richard DeNetto, CEO, Change the Race Ratio.

We will be sharing insights on EY's new report 'DEI Interventions that deliver', which Change the Race Ratio also contributed to. We recognise that business are striving to create and deliver an approach to inclusion that works for all employees, which will be discussed along with some of the practical recommendations on how organisations can focus on DE&I interventions that work across multiple characteristics.

We will also be hearing about the brilliant development programmes FirstGroup have in place to support the progression and professional development of staff from historically under represented groups.

Here are some of the highlights from the report:

  • Inclusion is the foundation from which to start a successful DE&I policy, contributing to business growth and innovation achieving retention.
  • Measurement: taking a data-driven approach to DE&I including robust data collection and analysis and target setting.
  • Recruitment: implement targeted recruitment strategies that attract diverse candidates and, where needed, offer appropriate support to accurately assess their competences and suitability for a role
  • Retention: providing flexibility on when and how roles are performed.
  • Progression: offering structured development programmes to mentor and/or sponsor individuals to close gaps in access to career progression opportunities.
