The Culture and Inclusion Leaders Summit provides a space for senior practitioners within member companies to come together in a safe space environment to; connect, learn and share good practice, in pursuit of achieving race equity in senior leadership across the UK business community.
The successful delivery of every inclusion strategy depends on meaningful engagement and action from one critical group: line managers. They shape the day-to-day experiences that define whether employees feel included, valued, and able to thrive through decisions on hiring, development, feedback, and team culture.
Bringing together peers from across organisations, the summit will provide a space to share practical approaches, challenges, and lessons learned in building manager capability, embedding accountability, and developing inclusion champions.
A chance to meet fellow members and network over a light lunch
Working together, participants will explore the key barriers to engagement, identify practical solutions, and share approaches that effectively build line manager engagement with inclusion, develop line managers' confidence and fluency on race, as well as tactics to communicate ED&I in ways that genuinely resonate with managers.
The workshop is kindly facilitated by Rachel Hughes, Edit Developments
This discussion brings together managers from ExCo to frontline roles to share their perspectives on inclusion in the workplace. They will reflect on their lived experiences, highlighting what is working in practice and where efforts can feel more like compliance than meaningful change.
The conversation will also explore what genuinely captures their attention and drives their commitment to action, offering valuable insight into how organisations can better engage managers and leverage their voice and influence in the workplace.
